Paolo Cognetti embarks on a transformative journey from the Aosta Valley to Nepal, guided by Sherpa Sete, in search of healing, clarity, and spiritual connection. The mountains of Nepal become a mental stateāa refuge where it is possible to gather inner fragments and find a sense of balance, often absent in the frenzy of everyday life. The journey leads us through monasteries and sacred sites, places of profound spiritual significance rich in history and tradition. These locations guide the narrative, as they are an integral part of the soul of the land and of the search for meaning.
Paolo Cognetti, born in Milan in 1978, is the author of literary successes such as The Eight Mountains, winner of the Premio Strega and other prestigious awards. His works also include The Wild Boy, Without Ever Reaching the Summit, The Happiness of the Wolf, and Down in the Valley.
