Fiore mio

Paolo Cognetti returns to his passion for documentary filmmaking to tell the story of Monte Rosa, exploring its connections with human and animal life. Fiore mio follows Paolo’s walks and his encounters with people of different ages and backgrounds such as Mia, Sete, Remigio, Marta, Arturo and Corinne, who are united by their love for the mountains, a place they have chosen as their home and live with passion and dedication.

Paolo Cognetti, born in Milan in 1978, author of literary successes such as The Eight Mountains, winner of the Strega Prize and other prestigious awards. His works also include Il ragazzo selvatico, Senza mai arrivare in cima, La felicità del lupo and Giú nella valle. The film adaptation of The Eight Mountains won the Jury Prize at the Cannes Film Festival and four David di Donatello awards.
