There is a square in the Vedado district (La Habana) where a statue of Beatle John Lennon sits quietly on a bench, staring at people walking by. Director Rogelio Paris says: ‘That statue is the government’s way of apologising to all the rockers in Cuba, for treating them as counter-revolutionaries and imperialists. Music is music’.
