L’Eubage is a company founded in Aosta Valley in 1997, first as a publishing house, then as a record production company, and finally as an audiovisual production company. Starting in the early 2000s with the production of reportages for RAI VdA, and continuing with independent short and medium-length films, it is in the language of documentary cinema that the different voices of L’Eubage have found their most successful harmony.
In recent years, we have been able to grow thanks to the support of the Film Commission Vallée d’Aoste, the various financing possibilities of M.I.C. and the support of RAI Cinema on original productions (Un menestrel by Valeria Allievi, Gian Luca Rossi and Luca Bich, 2010; Verticalmente demodé by Davide Carrari, 2013; Sarabanda a Filo di Cielo by Luca Bich and Gian Luca Rossi, 2022), co-productions (Broad Peak by Dawid Leszek with East Studio Poland, 2021; Au revoir Melograno by Giacomo Pedrotti, with Aries Film, 2022; API by Luca Ciriello with Lunia Film, 2023) and executive productions in the territory (Paolo Cognetti, Sogni di grande Nord by Dario Acocella for Samarcanda Film, 2019; La méchanique des choses by Alessandra Celesia for Film de Force Majeure, 2021; Segnali di vita by Leandro Picarella for Qoomoon ad Soap Factory Films, 2024). And our will is to continue in this artistic and productive growth, as evidenced by the enlargement of our staff, the opening of our new office in Trentino and our recent interest in fiction.
L’Eubage owes its name to an intuition of Luisa Montrosset: L’Eubage. At the antipodes of unity are the words of French writer Blaise Cendars that have inspired us over the years. And it is precisely in the variety and diversity of identities that we find our style. Unknown and sometimes mythical spaces, new ways of looking, small local stories that carry within them a universal appeal and always an indissoluble and instinctive link with reality; these are the characteristics that make us hunt for new projects.
