Sandrine single-handedly challenges the extreme mountain, the only place in the world where she feels truly happy. Armando, an alpine guide now manager at high altitude, manages a babel of people storming Europe’s most important glacier, trying to prevent anyone from getting seriously hurt. Venturino does what he can to keep his refuge open, with the help of his young daughter Sofia, with whom he spends only a few months of the year. Daniela faces an uncertain future, perhaps she will lose her job, but if she manages to keep it, will she be able to reinvent herself and manage the big new refuge?

Giacomo Piumatti, born in Turin in 1992, is a director and screenwriter. He graduated in History and Criticism of Cinema at Dams in Turin and attended the Experimental Centre of Cinematography. Among his best-known works are L’Alpinista (2015), Lungo Il Futuro del Po (2019) and the web series Linea 7000 (2020), distributed on Amazon Prime Video, Pluto Tv, Rakuten Tv and included in the CAI national film library.

Fabio Mancari, born in Lamezia Terme in 1977, graduated in Theory and Technique of Audiovisual Language at DAMS in Turin. In 2006, he founded Stuffilm, an independent production company specialised in creation documentaries and commercial videos. His best known works include: Vetro Piano (2010), L’Alpinista (2015) with Giacomo Piumatti, and Itaca nel sole, looking for Gian Piero Motti (2018). His films are available on various international OTT platforms such as Netflix, Amazon Prime, Paramount+, and others.

Stefano Scarafia, Cuneo 1978. Author and director of documentaries, short films and webseries. His works explore social, environmental and human issues, and have been selected and awarded at numerous international film festivals, including the Berlinale, the Milano Film Festival, the Bellaria Film Festival and the Doc Aviv Film Festival, broadcast by Sky, Rai, La7, Al-Jazeera. Of note are Il corridore (2009), Giovani e forti (2010), Living Food Communities (2012-2013), Vento (2014), Food Heroes (2022).
